MyWorldAbroad is constantly trying to streamline the registration process to make it quicker for students.

Schools using the Quick Access System (QAS) now have access to the Quick Registration System, which prompts students to go through a short registration process when they star an article or resource, or when they access the quizzes. See an example here. And please view more details on MWA registration systems here.

This means that students are able to access site content, and then prompted to register when they engage further with the content.

At MyWorldAbroad we're always busy trying to spread the word about the career value of going abroad. I was delighted to be able to contribute to the special "International" section in the Winter issue of Career Options magazine. Going international requires more than just wanderlust, and in the article I highlight ways of self-evaluating your level of cross-cultural flexibility, awareness and potential. Check out the online article here, or check out the full magazine in a scannable online version here.

We know that for students and their advisors, there’ s always a long list of tasks to be completed. Sometimes it’s just not possible to dedicate a full day to go abroad research and advice. For those who are in a rush, we’ve compiled four collections of essential articles from the site.

Each collection lists between ten and 15 articles from the site that we think you’ll find most useful. The four collection topics are: International Skills, Getting Experience, Finding Work and The Professions. See the selection here.

Navigation. It’s a simple part of a Web site, but arguably the most important. On our 4 BIG Things landing page, you’ll notice that you’re now linked directly to four "Jump to Content" menus. These new menus make direct access to sub-sections quicker and easier. These new menus are also available from the footer. View an example here. We hope you like the increased accessibility.

Self-evaluation is arguably one of the best ways for students to understand their international experiences. Encouraging students and young professionals to think deeply and analytically about their time in cross-cultural environments will allow them to discover the skills they built and the lessons they learned, as well as assisting them in planning future goals and international experiences. At MyWorldAbroad, we understand that true cross-cultural knowledge is best come upon through a combination of research, reading, experience and reflection. So, we’ve added eight new articles focused... Read the full article
