  • ABOUT SPEAKING IN LOUISIANA: Jean-Marc thoroughly enjoyed speaking in Baton Rouge and in Lafayette Louisiana, the heartlands of Cajun country. Jean-Marc is an Acadian from the province of New Brunswick and the Cajuns of Louisiana are his Acadian ancestors deported to Louisiana from their homeland in Nova Scotia in 1755. It was his delight to meet many Cajuns while speaking often in French to a wide group of friendly people he met during his travels in the Acadiana region. The pleasure was all the more appreciated when Jean-Marc spoke on an adjacent date at the Université de Moncton which is now the heartland of Acadians in New Brunswick.
